I am beyond excited to announce that Kelly is FINALLY POTTY TRAINED! For a year it has been an ongoing battle and we had had enough. We had read book after book about different ways to potty train and nothing worked. Kelly would even show potty training interest on his own and then decided right after that he wasn't ready. Shayne even tried putting cereal in the toilet and tried to have Kelly aim for the cereal as a fun 'game'. Nope, that didn't help either. We were at a loss. We got to the point where we decided after Kelly's last diaper was gone we were not buying more and he needed to be a big boy. For two days straight he had accidents and numerous melt downs. It was heartbreaking and rough. Then one night he decided he was going to go potty and he did. And it has stuck! He hasn't had one single accident.
When he went potty he got to put a sticker on his potty chart and once the chart was full he would get a big surprise. Today was the day the chart was completed. His surprise? A play kitchen of his very own. He loves to pretend to cook and now he can put his imagination to the test. We are so proud of him. I smile to myself when I think about how he is FINALLY trained.

WE HAVE SUCCESS
Skylar is now 2 months old. How? How is she possibly that old already? I will tell you what, she hit one massive growth spurt in one week where she grew out of her newborn diapers and clothes. Today at her well child check we found out she grew 3 inches in length, she now weighs 10 pounds, and that her head grew the most. Little Miss smiles a lot in the morning and loves to wiggle and coo. She eats between 3-4 ounces each feeding and sleeps 3-4 hours at night. She can hold herself up on her front arms and has great control over her head. What an amazing little girl she is.
